I know Jon Paris had some problems with the update process, and I remember having some serious difficulties myself a few months ago. Even today, I'm still a little concerned about the disconnect between WDSC and Rational, and it's a little bit of a pain to download nearly 2GB of patches for the 6.0.1 release, but those are annoyances not really issues and I'm not writing this to complain about them. Instead, I want to give huge props to the Rational/WDSC team for making this process work. When I tried this the last time, it was all but impossible to download fixes and install them later. When I explained the problem, it was clear to me that IBM took the issue seriously, but given the amount of work involved, I was still concerned. Well, in the last week I've updated three separate machines to 6.0.1, and it went flawlessly. The instructions for the fix packs were clear (whoever came up with the HTML instruction page in the ZIP file is a genius), and while the download and update processes were somewhat lengthy, they went without a hitch. Thank again to everyone involved in this. I hope to be able to bring this up in some articles very soon. Joe
