Hi Chris,

Give this a shot: create a filter which contains both the files you want
to compare. Then highlight them both (by Ctrl+Click), then right click
and choose Compare With->Each Other. This is how I get a side-by-side
compare in WDSc 5.1.2. I don't find it works quite as well as the other
method though - maybe it's just me, but it seems that the side-by-side
method has more trouble with minor differences like two blank lines
between code lines instead of one blank line and that sort of thing.

Good luck,
Adam

[WDSCI-L] WDSCI 6.X Compare

>From the help:

"Comparing files: To compare a currently opened member to another
member, click Edit > Compare > Compare from the menu bar. You can
also select two items in the Remote Systems view by holding down the
Ctrl key and clicking the two items. Right-click and select Compare
With > Each Other. Both members will be invoked side by side, with
changes highlighted."

So, I was hopping the compare changed in 6.0, but I still see the
compare in one view. Is there a setting I'm missing to make them "side
by side"? IE, lilke CODE/400's compare.

Tx

Chris
