Just to clarify- the "Service project" and "EAR Project" fields in the Web
Service wizard will only allow you to select a "Dynamic Web Project" and
"Enterprise Application Project" respectively. If the selected project(s)
does not exist yet (i.e. you type in a name instead of using the
drop-down), then the projects will be created for you- the targeted Server
Runtime and J2EE version for the generated projects will be the same as the
Server Runtime and J2EE version you have chosen.

If you choose an existing Service Project and EAR project, they must target
the same Server Runtime AND J2EE version you select in this dialogue. The
targeted Server Runtime and J2EE version can be identified by looking at
the Properties for the selected Project (right-click > Properties > Server
(or J2EE) ).

Hope this helps.

Sorry I don't know how to do it (ran into the same problem). It's much
easier
to just delete the project you created, and let the wizard do it.

Thanks.

Re: [WDSCI-L] Creating web service from source - server target error

Chenghui,

Is there a way to change a project to be a service project or do I need
to delete and recreate it? The web project was created just for this
purpose so I don't want to create a different one unless I have to.
