Justin,
        It's the SQL syntax checking that is causing the slow down.  The
syntax checking is performed on the server.  Go to Window | Preferences
| Remote Systems | iSeries | LPEX Editor parsers | ILE RPG.  Un-check
the "Automatic syntax checking of SQL statements...".  I un-checked all
syntax checking and just compile to find my errors.

Disabling auto-save did not make a difference.

I was mistaken about what source members were effects.  It seems to only
affect a single SQLRPGLE source member.  Even saving the member maxes
out my PC CPU.
