From: Paul Nicolay I fully agree with your point here, and it is the only point that matters in this whole discussion... either IBM is serious about Eclipse as a development environment, and it supports it with a maximum 6 month delay... or better uses the money for something else (hopefully more usefull).
I'm curious. Which technologies are top on your list, and what are you using them for? For example, what I've never run into these issues, I guess because I don't use frameworks. For example, doesn't Hibernate mean you won't be using DB2? I know that MyEclipse handles a few of the popular technologies, but certainly not all of them. AFAIK, there's no support for Cocoon or Tapestry or Turbine or Velocity. Or even SWT, for that matter. So I guess basically the problem is that MyEclipse supports Spring and Hibernate and WDSC doesn't. Or maybe it's that WDSC supports the iSeries and MyEclipse doesn't. Joe
