Hi Jan,

 

There is no way to do this and there is very little likelyhood of having an
API on the iSeries which could trigger any WDSC client code to execute.

Aside from locking issues with the scenario you describe, one of the primary
goals of WDSC for iSeries is to replace the host tools with more powerful
ones.
