Dave,
You are absolutely right!   Though I had read all the "TODO tasks" and 
response messages.  I was grumbling to myself about how much I disliked 
having to close the source to rid myself of the compile error messages, and 
so in a big way I missed the topic.

I tried "Source/Remove Messages" and even though I was editting a member 
with compile mesages, that option was disabled.   Next time I looked, it was 
enabled, and worked wonderfully.   Thanks for your help!

I'm not too worried about getting "dumped on" first, I was not paying 
attention and so deserve it, and second, I turned of individual emails from 
this list some time back, due to more whining than help.   Today I was just 
perusing the archive;  I ignore my digest emails entirely.   I did see your 
"Stop complaining to this list" note of agreement with Jon Paris and concurr 
wholeheartedly.

(maybe I will come back next month and see how much I was dumped on)
