Bill,

V6 and V7 co-exist just fine.  There's no reason to uninstall V6 first 
UNLESS you don't have enough disk space for both.  I have both versions on 
this laptop.  V6 runs just as it did before installing V7.  V7 runs better, 
so that's what I use.  It isn't perfect, but it's a significant improvement. 
I see no reason to wait.  Besides, the first fixpack is out already, not 
that it made any noticeable differences.
