Looks like IM somehow cann't delete some old files (strange, 'cause IM
would have already checked that
WDSC is not running before allow you to start updating; no idea why those
files are still locked).
The easiest "fix" is to uninstall WDSC. Then reinstall it. There're 2
options:
A. Local install:
1. Download the 7.0.0.2 ZIP file, and unzip into say, C:\v7002;
2. Start IM, and select File-> Preferences, then Add Repository...
3. Add 2 repositories: the first is the disk1 folder (if you have copied
the CDs to a disk), or the CD drive
(with CD1 there). The second repository is the downloaded 7002 zip; you
need to browse to the image
(in C:\v7002);
4. Now start install; you'll install WDSC V7.0.0.2 directly. If you are
prompted to upgrade IM to V1.0.0.3,
pls do it.
B. You can simply put CD1 in, and begin the installation. When IM lists
WDSC V7.0 for install, click the
Check new versions button at the lower-right corner. This will find
V7.0.0.2. Then you can install V7.0.0.2
directly. The drawback of this method is, if there's a network error, the
install will fail (the 7.0.0.2 update is
big, 1.1 GB).

I used IBM Install Manager to install the 7.0.0.2 and received the
