Slow response time when editing CLP/CLLE member in LPEX

I was wondering if anyone is experiencing a situation I am. When editing
a CLP/CLLE source member using LPEX, after keying some

code on a line and then pressing Enter, the session seems to hang up for
a couple minutes. The JAVAW executable takes over the CPU and 

doesn't let go. Trying to bring up Task Manager to see what's going on
is even painful. 

 

I keep things patched with the latest updates. This only occurs when
editin CL source, RPG/RPGLE are just fine and don't seem to have the 

same problem. I can understand if it's trying to verify/syntax check the
command, but it shouldn't take one to two minutes to do that.
