System i native objects must be compiled via create command on the System
i. Using iSeries Projects and a version control tool does not convert your
objects to "PC" objects. The only thing iSeries Projects and your version
control tool buys you is the ability to code off line and keep a history
of your source changes respectively.

Thank you.

Re: [WDSCI-L] WDSC CVS / Subversion

Do you still have the sources in the "standard" database (QRPGLESRC) on
the
i5? I would like to move all my sources to a repository and delete for
example the QRPGLESRC. If I want to change the sources, I uncheck, edit
and
commit again to my repository. When I uncheck the source direct from my
repository I can't compile it. Its only possible if I copy it to the I5.

Does anyone uses WDSC 7 and CVS / Subversion?

Yes.

Did you move your sources to CVS / Subversion? And is it still
possible
to
compile the sources?

I use SVN with iSeries Projects, for RPG, CL and DDS source. With this
arrangement, you don't move your source, you get a copy in your
repository. To compile, you right-click the member in iSeries Project
navigator, Remote actions, Compile.
