These last two steps sort of happen automatically. Once I have an iSeries Project with everything I want, I
- create a directory for the project within my repository, say svn://localhost/proj
- in iSeries Projects, right-click the project, then 'Team -> Share Project...' and tell it to create import the iSeries Project source into svn://localhost/proj/trunk

I now have an new revision containing the initial import, and the iSeries Project is my working copy.
