I always have these applications running: Firefox, WDSc, Outlook,

Startup takes 10-15 minutes every morning. I have started with EGL,

that requires another WDSc instance and RAM used frequently pushes

Performance is such that I will frequently go for coffee while waiting

But more importantly, it sounds like you've got a bunch of crap in your
system. You should really get some diagnosis tools and see what all
you're loading. It should not take 10-15 minutes to boot under any
circumstances.

I would have to agree. You've got something seriously awry. I run a
1.8GHz Core Duo with 2GB of RAM. I constantly have Lotus Notes, WDSC
(sometimes to copies), iSeries Access, Firefox, and more running. If it
took 3 minutes to boot my machine, I would be looking for what's making it
so slow. I can't say I never see a performance hiccup, but overall system
response is very snappy.
