I don't know that it would perform well without a major overhaul to 
JTOpen.  Many of the APIs are *very* heavy.  For example, retrieving
an i5/OS User instance calls a number of i5/OS APIs to fill every 
property that the object supports.

I was wondering about something.  Would it be possible to avoid having a 
RSE daemon running on the iSeries and just implement some of the stuff 
with JTOpen inside Eclipse?
