Lovely. If you have openssh running on the AS/400 you can create a ssh connection to the AS/400 with a socks proxy locally (putty and ssh supports it), and tell WSDC to use THAT. Then it all goes through there (plus you can compress the datastream) and hopefully it will not break.
Note that WDSC connections don't operate the same as 5250 sessions. For
example, I do a fair amount of work for a company on the other side of the
country and I use WDSC to edit the RPG code. I frequently get knocked off
my WDSC sessions, but never get knocked off my green screen sessions. I
have been told it has to do with my firewall ports, but I have adjusted
those to no end and still haven't had success.
