Sarcasm is never a defense of your position, and twin-ax came into
use on the S/38 I believe.

I think you'll find that the S/3 Model 15D and the S/34 both supported twinax before the S/38 began shipping, not that that alters the validity of your argument. At least web programming isn't taking us back to punch cards and plug boards...
