The OS X GUI is not compatible with the Ubuntu GUI, so unfortunately no.

(OS X is NeXTStep ten years after and the GUI is called Aqua, Ubuntu 
uses Gnome/KDE on top of X11 which is not NeXTStep compatible)

It should be very evident that Apple is not interested at all in anybody 
else but them running OS X.  Sigh.
