These types of keywords allow variable parameters that drastically change
the look of the output, so I should think it would be difficult to find a
tool that would do this, since the variable values are undetermined until
runtime.

Not sure if this is the proper list to post this question but, does anyone
know if IBM has a printer design tool that recognizes the advance DDS
keywords like BOX, LINE, FONT, OVERLAY, etc? Code Designer doesn't
recognize them, and in fact gives an error if you attempt to open a printer
file containing any of these keywords. It makes it kind of hard to design
a printer file with these keywords if you can't see where the overlay is
going to be on the page until you run the program that uses the printer
file.
