That may or may not be ... the rewrite was to move the code into the new 'Open' RSE framework. Was this necessary to do future enhancements? Not really, as long as you planned on keeping the framework closed.

As it is, the rewrite went retrograde in certain small instances ... where a bug was fixed in WDSC 7.0 and reintroduced in RDI 7.5.
