I'm on WDSCi 7 and I've experienced drastic differences in the two searches as well. It's as if the one method uses a FNDSTRPDM on *each* file individually while the other runs it over the whole library. I could tell because it was logging each source file separately as it searched them, while the faster one only showed the log and results at the end of the search. Maybe one search method is an Eclipse thing while the other is specific to RSE?
