Once a filter is created you can add more filtering options.
Right-click on filter then select Change. From there you can add more
filter options by clicking on the "New filter string" in the left pane.
Thanks, Matt

Subject: [WDSCI-L] WDSC 7 Filters Question: Selecting a Range of Members
I have a large source file of 2,000+ members that I access occasionally.
It takes a while to open the filter.
So I thought I'd break it down into 4 member filters, conceptually
Filter A-E, Filter F-L, Filter M-P and Filter Q-Z with approx 500
members each.
Since a member filter string is generic, the only way I have been able
to do it is (for Filter A-E) 5 filters, for A*, B*, C*, D* and E*. Not
unworkable once I got the hang of it, but the filter maintenance is a
bit unwieldy and eventually I had to add 26 different filter strings to
get the all members covered. (Actually, 27--the were some $* members.)
It there any better way to do this? Am I missing something obvious? Is
there a way to do a filter sting like A*-E*? Or A-EZZZZZZZZZ?
Anything different in RDI?
Sam
(I ended up copying and pasting each selection. Right click on an
existing filter string, copy, select the "New Filter String" at the top,
right click, paste. You get an error message about duplicates, but you
can edit the new filter string and fix it.)
