If you have a filter created over just the members you want to search, right
click on the filter and select
find string from the menu selection.
This will prompt for a search with the filter as the search limit.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Limit search scope to open members?

I have a situation I never ran into before.  We are using a cross
reference tool to analyse some changes to a file.  out of a hundred or
so RPG programs, only two dozen or so are in active use.  They're open
in my WDSC 7.0.0.8 right now, and I want to search for a particular
subroutine name in these open members.  Searching the unused programs is
just going to cause extra work.

Is there a way to limit the search scope to only the currently opened
members?
