Going back to SEU is only a temporary fix. SEU was stabilized at 6.1. As he moves to 7.1 and starts using new features, he will have the same problem there. SEU does not recognize features added in 7.1. The only real solution is to move to RDP as that is where IBM is putting its development dollars going forward.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] WDSC and RPG Language Version - can I update the language
I guess the workarounds are
- to move the TEMPLATE keyword into a /Copybook ( both silly and ugly)
- just go back to the good 'ole SEU
- use the older technique for Templates using keyword Based() on the Data Structure.
I am attempting to use the 'TEMPLATE' keyword on a D spec and the WDSC
ILERPG parser is giving me an error on the keyword.
It's understandable I am trying to code V6R1 ILE RPG. (The program
compiles fine on the iSeries)
