No joy. I followed your steps exactly, but RDP still says the license has expired.

To apply the license and have it stick ...
- Close RDP
- Start IBM Installation Manager (IM) (right-click & Run-As-Administrator, yes even if you are using an Id from the Administrators group)
- Apply the license
- Verify that the license is applied
- Close IM
- Start RDP and be joyous...

No AIX features are installed.
I attempted to apply the 8.0x license and it appeared to accept it in the
Installation Manager, but the license still shows expired in RDP.
I located the log file and I see this message '1 files have been
downloaded but could not be verified as no checksums were found.'
I thought I could download the new license from IBM, but I am unable to
find the right page.

If your getting a message about an expired or invalid license take the
option to Manage Licenses and you will see what you have installed and the
status.
If you see the AIX features you must remove them with Installation
Manager.
In any case when you choose Manage License in that panel you also get the
Continue option to use those features that are still licensed.
If ALL the editing options are showing expired then it really did not take
your license.
I would suggest trying again with your 8.0x package and keeping a close
eye on the messages at the end.
When I installed 8.5 it did not recognize my license. I'm fairly sure
that I only selected the IBM i features, but that was more than 60 days
ago. :)
What is the procedure to get our license back when it finally times out?
:(
