Bob,
I am currently on 8.0.3
When I have similar problems, it has been caused by a line or lines of code
the editor does not "like".
If your source compiles with no errors, you might try deleting the
RDP copy of the program source. This should force RDP to load
a fresh copy of source from your host.
When I want to delete RDP's local source file, I do the following:
On the Remote Systems tab, expand "Local" (look just under "New Connection")
Next, expand "Local Files"
Next, look at "Drives" to find the drive letter where your RDP workspace exists.
For example, my workspace is "C:\GaryT\Rational_8_0"
Once you have located your Rational workspace folder, I think you want
to open RemoteSystesTempFiles and then open the folder that matches
the name of your host connection. For me it is the network IP address
of our iSeries.
Once you get this far, I think you want to open folder QSYS.LIB
So, for my setup, the path to local RDP source files is:
C:\GaryT\Rational_8_0\QSYS.LIB\SOURCELIB.LIB\SRCFILE.FILE\SRCMBR1.RPGLE
You see the last part of this path when you place your mouse cursor over the LPEX source edit tab
The local source file names are the same as the names that appear on the LPEX source edit tab
Good luck.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] RPG ParserScheduler error
I have been using RDP 8.5.1 on v7r1 without any issues for months. I am a light user as I don't do a lot of heavy intensive coding. Yesterday I opened up the outline on an RPGLE source, and the program immediately became unstable, to the point of eventually crashing. Now I get the following message every time I attempt to make a change to the source:
An internal error occurred during: "RPG ParserScheduler for P4205.RPGLE".
com/ibm/etools/iseries/rpgle/RpgleFactory.createStatement()Lcom/ibm/etoo
ls/iseries/rpgle/Statement;
I have attempted to relaunch the workbench with the -clean option, but I am still getting the error.
I attempted to search the archives, but they appear to be unavailable at the moment.
Anyone have any insight on this error?
TIA,
Bob Cagle
