You need to prove that that your productivity is increased because of the tooling. Possibly even by doing a side-by-side comparison of tracking and issue alongside someone using SEU.

The funny part about this is that I've never seen a side by side
comparison done with RDP dumbed down to SEU level. Turn off formatting,
turn off live outline, close every view except the editor. Edit one and
only one source member, compile one and only one at a time, clear up the
errors from one and only one at a time. Close the tab, Ctrl-Shift-A to
open the next one.

I bet those who prefer SEU would continue to prefer SEU despite being
able to see twice as much source on the display with /exactly the same/
functionality.
