Gad,
I think you will probably have to open a PMR, because there must be
something unique about your set up that the service people will help
diagnose.
In the mean time, open the .log file which is just a text file and find in
it the message java.lang.NullPointerException and copy and paste here the
paragraph that follows, that basically has the call stack at the point
where things went wrong.

Hello Doug

Thanks ,
The member(s) are downloaded indeed (all my prev faild tests using the
original Workspace ).

Using the Run as Admin with a new Workspace ends the same way :
Mbr is downloaded but I get the same Error.

Kind regards
Gad

I wonder how far along the process gets? Does it download the member to
your PC?

Look in your workspace:

C:\_workspace_\RemoteSystemsTempFiles\_systemName_\QSYS.LIB\MyLib.lib
\QRPGLESRC.FILE\

(substitute appropriate values for _workspace_ and _systemName_)
Do you see the requested member?

Also, being windows 7...
Maybe create a new workspace, but be sure to start RDi with 'run as
administrator', then give it a new workspace name?
Then check again to see if the member is downloaded.

Hello everyone

Thank you for the prompt responses.

Doug, Michael, Gary
I have a good connection .
(Status is "Some subsystems connected'" and I'm able to see a QZRCSRVS
job.
Connection test is successful, I can brows Spool files etc.)

I have re-installed RDi using "Run as administrator", Same error.

Edmund ,The list moderator wouldn't let me send you the log file
- too long it seems.
Please let me know how to send it.

Thanks.
Gad

[WDSCI-L] Openning Member MyLib/QRPGLESRC(MyMBr) has encountered a
problem

Hello

A newbie question:

I've just installed RDi 9.0 on my Win 7 PC and connected to our Dev
i machine (7.1) When trying to open a source Mbr (by double
clicking
it) I'm getting a message "Openning Member Mylib/QRPGLESRC(MyMbr)
has encountered a problem. an internal error has occurred.
(Java.leng.NullPointerException) The same happens with QCLSRC MBRs.

Googling the Err message got me nowhere

Anyone care to advise?

Thanks
Gad
