I just noticed something similar - especially when in a fast view (minimized) presentation.

I restored the views, and I was trying to locate unused variables to delete - I found them with the outline, then would go to source and put DD pairs in the sequence area. Then I'd go back to the outline.

The outline stayed open, so long as I didn't press enter to complete the deletes. But it would close up when I did press Enter.

Hope that helps to present a scenario, Edmund, a little more, even.

Thx
Vern

I don't think this is a regression, I would expect this has been the

I think we need an RFE asking to restore the full expand state when the
outline view is refreshed.

Yeah, I provided a sample to Edmund and he was able to recreate the
collapsing. It wasn't through an official PMR though... Edmund should I
open a ticket for this or do you have it taken care of on your end?

Subject: [WDSCI-L] RDi 9.1 and outline oddity

All,

I am using the outline to show where records are being written in a program
to a printer file. Every time where the header is written I am adding
another write.

Using the outline it shows me everywhere in the program the record is
written. I click on the line number displayed in the outline to position
the source, then copy a bit of code before the write.

When I copy the code into the source, the outline collapses to 2 entries;
Global Definitions and Main Procedure. I have to then expand the source to
show files, expand the file to find the record so I can go to the next
occurrence of the header write. When I past the code, the outline again
collapses to the 2 main entries.

This is annoying, and I don't remember the outline acting this way in the
past. What I remember is that the outline is updated, but stays expanded
and relevant line numbers are added to the list.

Does anyone else see this behavior?
