Hi Paul,

Thanks for that, I have used the iSphere search (which is much quicker) but it doesn't currently allow me to delete entries from the search results, which the IBM search does allow. I think you might be right that I am more likely to get a change to the iSphere plugins. I will start my own thread to Frank about it.

Many thanks,
Mark

If you use the iSphere plugin for your member searching needs, there is a button to create a member filter from the search results. (And another button to create a spreadsheet from the search results.) http://isphere.sourceforge.net/

I should think that if you requested a way of trimming the search results list (tick boxes when exporting?) iSphere's programmers, Frank and Thomas, might find a way of sorting that out or even finding a way of doing collective things with "open members". And/or you could create an RFE for an option in RDi. (Experience shows that iSphere's maintenance cycle is much shorter than RDi's, but RDi and the related Rational eclipse-based dev tools in general have a bigger customer base to vote on the RFE.)

-Paul.

You are right, this is not a current feature.
Sounds like a potential RFE

Hi,

Similar sort of question and I expect the same response but can you create a member filter from the currently opened sources? I often do a search dig into the sources found, leaving open the ones I need to work on and then it would be handy to be able to create a filter from this.

Best regards,
Mark

Hi,

Is there a way to search in Open Members of RDI?

NotePad++ has the option to search all Open Documents. Does RDI have the
same thing? If so, how is that done?
