FWIW...I'm running 9.1.1.1 on Windows 10 without any issues. I have multiple connections to multiple systems over single and multiple vpns. No issues here.

Personally I think it's your corporate virus scanner rather than Windows. Does your employer allow you to VPN in from home? If so, load RDi 9.5 at home and try that. You can carry your workspace between PCs on a thumb drive for the purposes of experimentation.
