When you first start RDi you have no active connection to a server. So nowhere to run any commands - thus no command entry area. You have a couple of choices:

- Activate a connection, (sign on), or
- Set the Remote Systems preference to "Re-open Remote Systems view to previous state" and allow RDi to remember your Id and Password

Sounds like you had RDi 9.1 set up for the latter, but RDi 9.5 is set up for the former. (Personally, I prefer the former: start afresh and sign on each time I open a connection.)

Hope this helps.
Brian.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Command Prompt in v9.5

For some reason my command prompt does not appear on the "Commands Log" tab when I first startup the application. This shows up only after I compile something, or take another action where RDI runs a command.

What am I missing. This behavior was not exhibited in v9.1

Greg
