Do you have .Net developers or SQL Server folks? Do they have to jump through hoops to get Visual Studio or SQL Management Console installed?

An issue I have faced is the difficulty just to get something installed on
my PC. I have worked at places that I was unable to install software on my
machine. The hoops to jump through to get permission to have something
installed followed by trying to get the someone to come sign-on to my PC to
install the software just overwhelms the advantages. I am sure that I am not
alone in that.
Follow that by the learning curve of using some of these products. I have
been using RDI for about 9 months now, but there are a few things that I
have yet to figure out how to do in RDI that I can do very easily in
PDM/SEU. For some issues, I find it simply faster to use SEU to make fixes.
But those are a few other things that stand in the way of adoption of WDSC,
RDI, etc. that go beyond knowing the that the tools exist.

You mean they missed the constant nagging in PDM about "Have you tried ..."
? That message was around a long tie and you had to put some effort in to
get rid of it. I guess there are those who don't know about RDi but frankly
these days it has to be willful ignorance because references to it are
everywhere.
