Hi Allen,
It is true that RDi uses the DDM service to download IBM i members and is
at present not configurable to another mechanism.
If you chose to open an RFE. Please provide details as to why your company
finds that DDM is unacceptable.

Thanks,

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Opening source members in RDi
Sent by: "WDSCI-L" <wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

I have a question about RDi. I'm using RDi 9 and would like to know if you
can change how source members are retrieved from the remote ISeries system.

Specifically our company is locking down DDMF communications to production
systems from our test systems. When this happens, I can no longer retrieve
source members from production systems using RDi since it appears RDi uses
DDMF communications.

Is there a way to configure RDi to retrieve source members using an FTP
protocol instead of DDM?

Thanks!
