In the last two years, over all the RDI SEP ***had been*** fairly rock stable for me...

Only in the last few months had I had any issues at all...

Once, I Checked my jobs in QUSRWRK, I had over 50 entries! Ouch!

Restarting RDI did not work for me... <disappointment>

Of course another way to fix RDI SEP is to create a new workspace. That works EVERYTIME. <LOL>

I have heard other shops, wrote a cl-program to remove all the RDI QUSRWRK jobs every night.
Which I guess I am going to be forced to do that myself. With the power of IBM I and DB2 SQL that is very simple!

Rob,

Although I rarely have to use debug on my programs, cough, cough, I don't have problems with the RDi debugger and SEP.

Typically, this scenario describes my process.
- Start RDi Debug.
- Add the program(s) to SEP.
- Initiate the programs.
- When I'm finished debugging, I close all program listings and remove the program entries in the debug console. The SEP entries are unchanged.
- Modify the program and recompile.
- In RDi Debug, refresh the SEP entry. This points it to the newly compiled program rather than the program in QRPLOBJ.
- Initiate the programs.
- Lather, rinse, repeat.

If I'm working with a service program, it's also necessary to end the session that initiated the service program.

Other posters have slammed RDi debug. Other than not being able to change the contents of a monitored VARCHAR field sometimes, I've found this tool to be very stable. I use a separate workspace for debugging.

Thanks Greg. I confirmed that the breakpoint does exist and is enabled but it still doesn't break. You are referring to the Breakpoint being checked on the Breakpoints tab correct?

This is a new sp. I confirmed the external program only exists in my
development library.
So the sp only exists in my dev library as does the external program.
