I also agree it is annoying, but here is my windows 10 work around...

I do windows-Key+D (Show Desktop), and then do Windows-Key-Tab to find my application. Seems to work great on Windows 10 for me...

Windows 10 is different from older OS like XP/7/8...

I have other application that do not seem to release focus either. The above trick works for me...

I have seen this behavior in apps other than RDi. (And yes, it is annoying as @#@#!!!) I haven't been able to isolate it. I usually either reboot or log off and back on to get away from it until the next time.
