If you have started a version of ACS outside of RDI then that is the version that RDI will launch …

Subject: [EXTERNAL] Re: [WDSCI-L] RDi 5250 settings
Just for clarification, which version of RDi are you using?
RDi 9.6 has 2 x IBM-supplied 5250 emulators available:
- Host Connection Emulator
- ACS Emulator
RDi 9.8 has just the ACS emulator - I believe HCE has been discontinued.
(Don't forget the iSphere plug-in has it's own excellent 5250 emulator
as well.)
Personally, I tend to use the ACS emulator via the standalone ACS
install and not rely on the in-built RDi version. (The configurations
are better managed, especially across new product versions.)
FWIW,
Brian.

Is there a way to save 5250 settings when running from RDi?--
I launch 5250 from the Object Table view and it loads with a generic
session. I set all my configuration and save it. When I open 5250 again
it's back to the generic.
TIA
