I don't see Member Compare (I'm in RDI 9.8.0.4). In Object Table view I do
have "Compare With". I'm trying that out now.

Do the standard Member Compare side by side and press the 3 buttons next
to the Member Compare on the left side and select Text Compare. Text
compare shows the sequence numbers and dates and will keep them for you.

Now you can simply merge and only the selected changes should change the
timestamp.
