Jon Topstyle is easy to use, and you can change your preferences under
Studio to pick it up for CSS, I also changed the editor for HTML to use
Homesite rather than page editor. Topstyle is much better than whats in
studio, and presents your styles in a pane at the bottom so you can see
exactly what you have set-up.

Thanks for the pointer Phil - I'll take a look.  Right now I'm using (with
varying degrees of success) the two editors that come with Websphere
Studio.  Don't really want yet another editor (particularly since I can
only find how to import into Studio - not export from it) - but needs must
....
