• Subject: Stored Procedure Jobs Hanging in Domino

We are running a Domino server, and some of our apps use stored procedures
to call RPG programs on the AS/400. Occasionally, these programs will get
passed bad data, and and when that happens it hangs (typically, it's a
decimal data error problem). We've found that when that happens no further
jobs will run until we end the offending job. Obviously, one solution is
to add some error checking so the job doesn't hang, but it's got us
wondering -- why does one job hanging prevent others from running? Is
there a way we can set things up so that this won't happen?

TIA,
