Jon,

(i assume at least; every mail from this list comes "From:
owner-web400@midrange.com", so i don't know who is talking when there's no
signature - does anybody else have this problem? I use Eudora and have no
problem with RPG400-L, MI400, etc.)

this seems to be a solution, but it's simply wrong HTML-code and a browser
not knowing what to do. Any other version might behave different, and
there's an Opera browser, too, and so on.

People can check your code at w3c and will see the "error".

I think you're one of those who like to play games according to rules,
aren't you? So you do not feel good with this "solution", do you?

Besides: Eudora displays your mail already correct. Sent to the IE 5.5 it's
also OK, but you know that already.

Opera 5.02 displays every line in the way you want.
Your "work-around" works in Netscape Navigator 4.08.

But these great results shouldn't lead to everybody's own interpretation of
what is allowed and forbidden in HTML. Not-coding of an ending tag can't be
a solution.

Perhaps we can find a better solution when we could see a bit more of the
page? No url?

Mit freundlichen Grüssen / best regards
