I'm with you 100% Joel.  One of the things about "I'm not doing any
stinking registration" that I don't get is that it achieves nothing.  You
are deprived of access to the site - so the only one hurt is you.  On the
other hand "lying" to the site could potentially lead them to change their
ways when they begin to realize that the data they are mining is useless.
Which of the two options (not register/lie) is most likely to result in a
policy change?
