The various object types in a library wouldn't necessarily translate well to
the IFS.  For example, compiled program objects wouldn't make any sense in
an IFS, PC-type file structure.  Also, files in AS/400 libraries can have
multiple members or distinct data sets.  This wouldn't translate well.

You could run a backup of a library into a save file, then store the save
file in an IFS directory, but you'd have what amounts to a zip file with the
entire library buried inside - not useful if you want to chew on the data in
some way.

What exactly are you looking to do with this 'library to ifs' requirement??
