One thing that I appreciate about your comments, Joe, is your attention to
architecture.  Joel Cochran is right about the various "sub-species" of Web
components doing the same thing.  And it's a good thing to know the
similarities.  But you seem to care more about how it's done.

Any architecture will suffice under a limited set of constraints.  The real
test is when it is subjected to stress.  That's where your observations
provide insight.
