Yes. That is precisely what I am thinking to do.  If I can read all the CGI
object links, maybe copying the CGI source to a work file on the AS400 and
search for the SELECT .... FROM clause in that source...  I do not know yet.

i have seen homegrown doc software that scans source for things like "/copy"
in
order to document where used. Do not know the layout of your cgi source, but
you might be able to do a similar thing, scanning the rpg for where you
retreived
the source?
