Dan if you have all the latest PTF's applied and go into your HTTP admin
area port 2001 or 2002 depending on your OS release you should have the
option for WAS.

With a V4 installation of WAS I get the following lines after using the
admin screen, it also detects your WAS version installed before giving the
options.

<Directory /QIBM/ProdData/WebASAdv4/WSsamples/>
      Allow from all
      Order allow,deny
      AllowOverride None
      Options None
  </Directory>
  Alias /WSsamples/ /QIBM/ProdData/WebASAdv4/WSsamples/
  LoadModule ibm_app_server_http_module
/QSYS.LIB/QEJBADV4.LIB/QSVTIHSAH.SRVPGM
  WebSpherePluginConfig
/QIBM/UserData/WebASAdv4/default/config/plugin-cfg.xml

With a 3.5 installation I get

1 <Directory /QIBM/ProdData/WebASAdv/theme/>
2 Allow from all
3 Order allow,deny
4 AllowOverride None
5 Options None
6 </Directory>
7 <Directory /QIBM/ProdData/WebASAdv/WSsamples/>
8 Allow from all
9 Order allow,deny
10 AllowOverride None
11 Options None
12 </Directory>
13 Alias /theme/ /QIBM/ProdData/WebASAdv/theme/
14 Alias /WSsamples/ /QIBM/ProdData/WebASAdv/WSsamples/
15 NcfAppServerConfig BootFile
/QIBM/UserData/WebASAdv/default/properties/bootstrap.properties
16 LoadModule ibm_app_server_module /QSYS.LIB/QEJB.LIB/QSVTIHSA.SRVPGM

Thanks Bleddyn

Ok, I give up.... How does apache talk to Websphere???? I'm trying out the
Apache HTML server (to see how to migrate
our existing stuff). I've got it serving HTML and I've got WAS set up, but
I must've missed something because Apache is
serving up my JSP as HTML. My old configuration had a service entry but
it's beeen commented out.....

any help (links, direct ideas, etc) will be much appreciated....
