Actually, after getting acquainted with Windows XP, it strikes me how
"webby" Windows has become.

It's hard to deploy robust Web applications in CGI (IMHO).  But, I've moved
beyond CGI, and I find that it can be much easier to deploy robust Web
applications, than "thick" Windows clients.

However, perhaps a hybrid solution would be in order.  For example, one can
plug in the Internet Explorer ActiveX control into a VB form.  Part of the
interface could be HTML, the other part ...
