It's a stab in the dark, but you could try adding this to your INI file, although it should not be required: <quote> DTW_SMTP_SERVER: E-mail SMTP Server Variable Specifies the SMTP server to use for sending out e-mail messages using the DTW_SENDMAIL built-in function. The value of this variable can either be a host name or an IP address. If this variable is not set, Net.Data uses the local host as the SMTP server. Syntax: DTW_SMTP_SERVER [=] server_name Where server_name is the host name or IP address of the the SMTP server that is to be used for sending e-mail messages. Performance tip: Specify an IP address for this value to prevent Net.Data from connecting to a domain name server when retrieving the IP address of the specified SMTP server. Example: DTW_SMTP_SERVER 9.5.34.5 </quote> -----Original Message----- From: dmosley@dancik.com [mailto:dmosley@dancik.com] Sent: Tuesday, November 05, 2002 10:44 AM To: web400@midrange.com Subject: RE: [WEB400] NetData - @DTW_SENDMAIL error message confusion... I am receiving the following message, when using the @DTW_SENDMAIL command., NET.DATA Error: Function call to DTW_SENDMAIL failed. Error Number is 7001. (SMTP-REPLY-CODE=250) >From what I've found, STMP-REPLY-CODE=250, means that the command ran successfully. Can anyone assist me with why I would get this message for no errors occurring, and how I can fix this. thanks David L.
