I've never heard of using _DTW_SENDMAIL.  I can try it.
Here is my command, for testing.  Pretty straight forward.
     @DTW_SENDMAIL("joey@dancik.com", "joey@dancik.com", "TEST", "TEST")

And 7001 means:
7001
Explanation: An SMTP error occurred while Net.Data
tried to relay the e-mail message to the specified SMTP
server.
User Response: Make sure that you call
DTW_SENDMAIL with valid parameters.
Sometimes it helps when @DTW_SENDMAIL is replaced with _DTW_SENDMAIL and is
so put into sight. (= DEBUG).
Maybe the Net.Data Messages and Codes manual is right?
