Ron: We are using the Webfacing product and hosting the converted pages
on a separate NT server. Currently, we are using Tomcat but plan to move
to WebSphere Express when available. It doesn't reduce the interactive
work load but doesn't increase it either.

Hello

We are trying to find a way to convert our legacy interactive RPG
programs
to use something other than a 5250 based interface.
Our purpose is to significantly reduce the interactive workload on our
iSeries and also do some application modernization.

I have been looking at the documentation for HATS - WebSphere Host
Access
Transformation Server
(http://www-3.ibm.com/software/webservers/hats/about.html). From what I
can tell HATS is simply transforming
a 5250 data stream to HTML. This would NOT result in a reduction of
interactive workload.

Is this an accurate interpretation of what HATS is doing?
