Damn. Forgot to put "strategic" in quotes.

Oh hell, it's screwed now. Need we review prior "strategic" products:

OS/2
San Francisco
SNA
DRDA

At the Websphere Technical Exchange last month, Phil Coultard (sorry if I
botched the spelling) said that WebFacing is a strategic product for IBM.
As British bookies like to say, make of that what you will.

Another interesting insight on WebFacing. According to Phil, it was made
for ISV's to help them quickly put web front ends on their 5250 apps.

Yep. Certainly does.

Seems like it, but I've seen some pretty interesting stuff done with it.
They describe it as "rules based."

Also, from what I've been told (I've seen some product demos -- we almost
used either WebFacing or HATS for a project), HATS LE is pretty limited. I
don't know exactly what the limits are, but they left me with the
impression that HATS LE is basically an exact representation of 5250
screens in HTML. Kinda like what WSG was supposed to have been <big ol'
grin>. Isn't HATS LE what iSeries Access for the Web uses under the covers
for 5250 emulation?
